HOT AND COLD ROLLED STEELS FOR BENDING AND DRAWING UNI EN 10130 AND 10111

Schiavetti Lamiere forate uses cold rolled flat steels with a width of ≥600 mm and a thickness of 0.5 to 3 mm, supplied in the form of coils or sheets (mainly in commercial format).

These steels are characterized by maximum yield limits, minimum tensile strengths and minimum elongation guaranteed. They are also classified in ascending order of formability and can therefore be used in various cold processes, from the less critical molding (DC01) to the deepest drawing (DD05 and DC06). They are produced in static annealing or in continuous annealing.

The surface finish can be bright, semi-bright, normal or rough. In the absence of specifications, the normal finish is provided.

Continuous hot rolled flat products for cold bending have a thickness from 1.5 to 8 mm and are also supplied in sheets or coils. Normally they are not pickled and in the raw lamination state they are covered with a thin layer of oxide (calamine) of varying color. This oxide can be removed with the chemical pickling process. We will therefore speak of “pickled” steel.

They can also be requested / supplied with a light cold rolling step, in this case we speak of “skinpassed” steel, a technical term that derives from the term skinpass (light rolling process with which the final mechanical qualities of the steel are determined and the surface finish is produced).

All pickled products are normally supplied oiled and their weldability with normal industrial processes is guaranteed. The products are also suitable for the application of surface coatings, however when ordering it is advisable to specify the type of surface coating to be applied.

These products are used in the automotive sector (radiator grilles and grilles), in the production of household appliances (e.g. parts of microwave ovens), in interior and design furnishing and in all those applications where a high level of ductility and aptitude for molding and bending, up to the deepest drawing.
